Unique venue based in Southampton looking for a passionate experienced Bar and Restaurant Supervisor, Deputy or Assistant General Manager to join their exciting permanent hospitality management team.
Superb and vibrant brand offering live music and sport, as well as a great social atmosphere.
The team and brand offer a fun working environment, with the main focus on drinks and cocktails.
However, there is also food sold on-site consisting of light snacks and lunchtime menu items.
The venue actively engages with various marketing platforms to keep brand awareness high.
With great power comes great responsibility and its up to you as Assistant General Manager to make sure the venue is managed successfully and positively in a hands-on fashion.
Key Features of the Role:
Standing in and acting as the Manager in charge when the GM is off, leading and mentoring the team of 5 – 20 staff.
Ensuring customer standards and brand values are trained, maintained and exceeded.
Health and Safety, recruitment, maintenance, coaching, career development, wet and dry stock responsibilities.
Working minimum 5 days a week, using your strengths to run a smooth operation.
Vital connection between FOH and BOH, for private events, parties and groups during busy and non-busy periods.
Assistant General Manager will compile reports, budgets, P&L with the GM.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
To be successful in this role you will need to be an accomplished Assistant General Manager, with prior experience in either a Sports or Music Bar, Gastro Pub etc.
Experience in advertised and promoting venue events, functions, brand awareness.
Rota, GP and margin reports experience are a must.
Must have experience in FOH and BOH team management, ranging from 5-20 staff.
Practical experience supported by some form of catering and hospitality qualification.
You will need to be a personal license holder.
