This is your opportunity to make your mark within the business. As the Deputy Head Housekeeping / Assistant Housekeeping Manager you will be accountable for assisting the Head Housekeeper in running the smooth operation of the housekeeping department, with the team reporting into you.
As the Deputy Head Housekeeper you'll be behind the scenes, delivering on our client's mission!
You'll understand the importance of a fantastic first and last impression to the happiness of our guests. You'll have high standards when it comes to Housekeeping and be meticulous about the Health & Safety of both staff and guests alike. As Deputy Head Housekeeper you will be responsible for standards of cleanliness in guest bedrooms and public areas throughout the hotel. You'll be a passionate leader with the ability to inspire, motivate, and support your team in order to meet your goals and keep your departments running smoothly. You'll have high standards when it comes to guest experience and brand standards and you'll take ownership and pride in your work.
You will be organised and efficient with the ability to follow direction in line with company standards and procedures. Customer service and experience will be at the forefront of your management style and you will have a passion for excellent customer service. You should be an effective communicator to clients and colleagues alike, with an enthusiastic approach to work, you will be an approachable and dynamic leader with the ability to build rapport with your new team.
Your Experience & Our Requirements
You will need to be a hands-on operator who can strategise and deliver on their feet. This is not an office job, and will require you to lead from the front and be a real presence in the business. Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate great loyalty in your previous positions.
We are looking for a charismatic individual, who is a natural leader and highly organised, with great attention to detail and exceptional operational skills.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience within hotel operations, ideally supervisor level in a medium to large property.
* Commercially aware and confident.
* Knowledgeable in dealing with budgets, ordering and stock taking, maintaining high standards of H&S.
* Comfortable with administration and tech savvy.
* Dedication to absorb, develop and improve your own skills.
* Ability to progress and engage others around you.
* Always focused & positive.
