Our client a large business with over 1000 staff across all of their sites. An iconic name in the world of family holidays who are synonymous with customer service. You will be based at a multi-outlet site near Carlisle. With 3 kitchens running simultaneously, there is a lot to get involved in! There is a fine-dining restaurant, a top quality Indian restaurant and a quick service Italian.
Your New Job
As an Assistant Kitchen Manager, you will focus on one of the sites at a time within the complex, working alongside the Kitchen Manager and Executive Head Chef to develop the menus and lead the team. A normal week will be 40 hours over 5 days, with no splits or long days. This is a business that wants to get the best out of you and for you to enjoy what you do. As a part of this, they are keen on ensuring you have a work life balance. Your day as the Assistant Kitchen Manager will focus on leading the team during service and ensuring the quality and standards are upheld at all times.
Your Experience and Our Requirements
This is a fast-paced, busy environment so organisation is key. You should have experience managing teams of Chefs in similar, fast paced businesses. Experience of the specific cuisines would be beneficial but is not essential for the successful Assistant Kitchen Manager.
You must however, be passionate about the food you produce and have an interest in a career rather than just a job.
Your Future as The Successful Chef de Partie
The successful Assistant Kitchen Manager will be offered an hourly rate of £12.30 p/h with a guarantee of 40 hours per week. Any overtime is paid at time and a half. There is a fantastic benefits package including health care, discounts and an enhanced pension.
If you are looking to relocate or Live-In. You will be offered accommodation on site for up to 6 months to give you plenty of time to get settled. There is also regular, discounted buses from local towns and villages.
