Amazing and permanent Chef de Partie opportunity at an award winning top Southampton restaurant in the centre of town, in a classically restored venue, offering fresh food with an Italian influence.
You could be working in a nationally recognised Top 10 Italian restaurant based in the UK.
The restaurant offers a family run, friendly and highly customer orientated service from the time the guest walks through the door till the time they leave.
This is all backed up by an amazing fresh food menu offering classic Italian menu items that have been rated by guests on Trip Advisor as Excellent 4.5 Stars, by continuously offering great quality and value for money famous and traditional homemade cuisine.
You will join the kitchen as a Chef de Partie and learn from the established Chef team when it comes to the menu items and cooking skills on various stations and menu items, working on a full time shift rota.

Together as a team it's your job to ensure that the customer’s expectations are met and exceeded every time, as customers expect a great culinary experience every time they visit.
The Chef de Partie role required a great team player with good organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a very busy restaurant and bar, where the Company’s reputation for consistently preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to the right quality, is second to none.
You will be a valued member of the team assisting the Head Chef to produce the best quality results for every customer’s culinary experience emulating the highest standards of food quality and consistency.
The venue is open for lunch and dinner service, as well as offering Sunday Lunch so you will need to be able to handle prep work and a busy service ranging up to 100 covers, producing high standards and demonstrating good attention to detail.

Knowledge and Skills:
You should be an accomplished Demi CPD, Chef De Partie, Senior CDP or Junior Sous Chef with experience of working in a fresh food kitchen.
You should possess ambition to continually push yourself to move up to the next career level.
Your practical experience should ideally be supported by some form of catering qualification.
You should have a passion for producing the perfect dish every time, having a desire to aim for high standards.
Previous experience in a similar role requiring broad food knowledge and precise attention to detail is essential, with fresh, quality food and someone who can thrive under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
You need to be able to take direction and apply yourself in a professional manner at all times.
You will be an excellent team player who can respectfully communicate to the team.
You will be required to carry out a trial shift, which will assess your skills, ability, attitude, aptitude and your performance when carrying out the explained food tasks. This will determine your salary level and personal development plan.

What’s on Offer?
As a Chef de Partie your standard contracted working hours will be 48 hours per week, 5 days on, 2 days off. Flexible shift patterns.
Basic salary will be around £21k – 22k based on the skills, ability, aptitude, attitude and all round cookery test performance.
Basic salary is paid monthly, plus tips on top (paid fortnightly)
On-going training and development to help you achieve a higher career Chef level and increased earnings and basic salary, for those who can prove their ability.
