Description: Our client’s larder is incredibly rich in diverse, flavoursome foods and their team of skilled Chefs are passionate about serving local, seasonal foods to satisfy the palette of each guest. As Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef to lead a team of four who produce exceptional food for the hotel restaurant, bar and private diners.
What you will be doing
Assist with the management of a high quality, very busy, kitchen.
Maintaining high standard of cooking
Hands on management and development of 4 staff
Help with financial management (costs, GPs etc.)
Menus, ingredients and sourcing of only the best ingredients
Part of a proactive and focused team
Plus, all the usual day to day Second Chef stuff!
What you will need to bring to the role
You will have worked in a similar role within a hotel, pub or restaurant
You will have strong supervisory skills and are happy to be a hands-on Supervisor
A team player
