Within one of the bar and restaurants situated close to the water on the South Coast, near Southampton, they are seeking a Chef de Partie. The position is permanent.
Key Features of the Role:
All of the restaurant’s food will be prepared on site using the best ingredients, (local where possible), using carefully sourced suppliers.
The Company is seeking an ambitious and committed Chef de Partie with a passion for good food who is ready to continue developing their career in a growing hospitality group.
You will be a great team player with good organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a very busy bar and restaurant, where reputation for consistently preparing, cooking and presenting menu items to the right quality is second to none.
You will be a valued member of the team assisting the Head Chef to produce the best quality results for every customer’s culinary experience, emulating the highest standards of food quality and consistency.
This can be a very busy working environment, with high standards and attention to detail, you’ll be part of a team who helps influence effective kitchen controls to achieve good gross profit, efficient ordering and stock control, as well as excellent standards of health and hygiene.
This is a perfect career move for a Junior Chef, Commis Chef, Line Chef, Station Cook or someone at a similar CDP level or higher who wants the chance to develop a name for themselves.
You will have a great opportunity to learn new styles of cooking, as well as creative food and menu items using fresh ingredients and locally sourced produce.
Knowledge and Skills:
You should be an accomplished Commis Chef, Demi CPD, Chef De Partie or Sous Chef with experience of working in a fresh food kitchen.
You should possess ambition to continually push yourself to move up to the next career level.
Your practical experience should ideally be supported by some form of catering qualification.
You should have a passion for producing the perfect dish every time, having a desire to aim for high standards.
Previous experience in a similar role requiring broad food knowledge and precise attention to detail is essential, with fresh, quality food and someone who can thrive under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
You need to be able to take direction and apply yourself in a professional manner at all times.
You will be an excellent team player who can respectfully communicate to the team.
You should possess ambition to continually push the business forward.
You will have good knowledge of hygiene and health and safety.
You should possess a lot of stamina/energy to keep up to speed during occasional hectic spells of business.
You should have a desire to aim for high standards.
You should be reliable, hardworking, trustworthy and passionate in your work.
Standard working week is normally 48 hours, 5 days on, 2 days off. Flexible shift patterns.
Because of the location of the restaurant public transport links are limited and therefore you will need your own transport.
What’s on Offer?
Chef de Partie’s Basic salary will be around £8.00 – £8.50 per hour.
You will receive tips paid on a weekly basis.
