A beautiful 4 star hotel in Cumbria is looking for a Sous Chef to help stabilise their kitchen team.
This is a fantastic hotel in a beautiful setting. They have recently gone through a large investment and are now aiming to raise their grading to 5 star and achieve rosette status. You will be in charge of the team of 10 in the Head Chef's absence, managing all health and safety and due diligence. You will be involved in rotas, wastage and menu development. The kitchen is large and well equipped and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as afternoon tea and a small level of private dining. This is a hands on role with a great standard of cooking and support to grow in your career.
You should have a real love for food and quality ingredients, with a drive to create inventive seasonal and delicious dishes. You must have a proven track record as a Sous Chef within a fine dining operation, Rosette experience would be beneficial. You will be financially aware and fully compliant with food safety standards. This is a fantastic position for someone who wants to be involved with a project from day one and be able to grow their profile with the hotel.
