My client, a co-educational, independent, preparatory school, situated near Thornbury, looking for an experienced Chef Manager to run the pupil feeding and hospitality on site with a brigade of 7 staff to cater for 600 student aged between 3 and 13 daily catering for lunch, afternoon teas and events on site.
Main responsibilities for Chef Manager:
*To manage and oversea production of all fresh and notorious meals produced
*Have full understanding and ability to work with Word and Excel
*Be a proven, hands-on leader
*Be financially aware
*Be naturally out going and vibrant
*Have the ability to train and inspire
*Be innovative and creative
*Have excellent organization skills
*Demonstrate great attention to detail
*Be up to date with current food trends
*DBS check will be needed for this position
The ideal Chef Manager
Will show enthusiasm, leadership and a a great background with schools or high volume commercial catering with similar operation. The client is highly focused on the quality of food and amazing costumer focus, attention to detail is key! You will need to be financially astute- costing, GP, menu management, labour.
Package for the ideal Chef Manager:
*Basic salary up to £26,000
*40 hours per week contract
*Monday to Friday predominantly
