Description: SOUS REQUIRED FOR LOVLEY CASUAL DINING RESTAURANT BASED IN A LIVERPOOL CITY CENTRE HOTEL
SALARY: Circa £26,000
Berkeley Scott are very pleased to be working with this quality hotel operator in the Liverpool area in looking to recruit a new Sous Chef.
Due to expansion of the business and some internal promotions, the Hotel need a new Sous Chef to help lead the team in this busy yet great quality kitchen. Backed by a very quality chef and with future plans to expand and adapt the restaurant for the diverse clientele this is one not to be missed.
You will report directly into experienced and talented Head Chef in order to help lead a team to deliver excellence across the board.
This beautiful hotel hold lots of weddings and functions so extensive experience in conference and banqueting will be a must. However the a la carte dining room is still very busy with locals and residents so a busy and bustling service is a day to day accordance.
You should be a Chefs Chef, in having great cooking skills and ideas as well as being able to lead and direct a team under pressure - You should be approachable, able to get on well with and encourage people of all levels at the same time as having the hands on skills in ALL areas of the kitchen.
The food here is top-notch - All fresh and seasonal as far as possible, local without compromising on quality.
You will learn a lot here, as the Head Chef is well-recognised as providing some of the best training in the area, and getting their junior Chefs ready for promotion. The whole team are very supportive and really believe in helping each other progress - The Company really is a great one to work for and likes to look after its team members.
Ideally, you will have a solid grounding in classical techniques - You needn't be currently working within high-end dining (it will help though!) but if you can demonstrate your commitment to the employer and show a passion for food and restaurants, wowing customers and willingness to learn, this will count for a LOT. The team here are all really enthusiastic about the art of cooking, so you should be too!
