Job Title: Restaurant Floor Staff

Place of Work: Vineet Bhatia London (VBL) Restaurant

Purpose: To provide the service of food and drinks to customers/guests.

To provide friendly service at all times.

To assist the floor team and management team in achieving the highest possible levels of service, efficiency and profitability.

Responsible for: The section allocated for you on the day of service as well as the cleanliness of the restaurant

Responsible to: Restaurant Managers, Assistant General Manager, General Manager and Chef Proprietor

Main Duties:
To be punctual at all times and ready for work.
To report directly to General or Restaurant Manager on a daily basis to make them aware that you have arrived for work.
To have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all items listed on the menus, including daily specials, wines and unavailable items.
To provide a speedy, efficient and professional level of service at all times.
To take and process food and drink orders in the manner explained during training.
To ensure all customer bills are correctly prepared, presented and processed as well as closed off at the end of every service.
To be hands-on and present in the restaurant at all times during service.
To ensure that all service ware is properly cared for, cleaned and prepared for every service.
To ensure that appropriate stock levels are maintained for all operating equipment, including linen and to report shortages or requirements to the suppliers and Restaurant managers in time for the next service.
To ensure that the highest possible levels of hygiene are maintained at all times and that cleaning rotas are adhered to.
To maintain the highest possible standards of personal hygiene and appearance and to be dressed in clean correct uniform at all times.
To ensure the highest levels of cleanliness, hygiene and safety at work at all times in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1977.
To report any customer complaints or comments immediately to the Restaurant Manager or General Manager.
To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned and be prepared to work in any other departments at VBL or any other establishments owned by the Company.
To understand and adhere to the company policy on Fire and Bomb Threat.
To work as a team player at all times and be prepared to be flexible in order to ensure that operations are always as efficient and profitable as possible
All candidates should have at least 1 year experience in fine dining and should also demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK.

We do have full and part time positions available and also an immediate start can be arranged provided your interview/trial is successful.

Salary: £9.00 to £10.00 /hour plus service charge
