LOCATION: MANCHESTER BASED with time spent in other sites

SALARY: Up to £24,000 plus bonus and various company benefits including TRONC

Job Description:

Busy successful restaurant group are looking for an experienced Bar Manager & Bar Consultant to be based in Manchester managing the bar there whilst also acting as a Bar Consultant for the business- developing new cocktail menus, training the teams in the various sites across the business as well as negotiating with suppliers and ensuring that service is of the highest standard.
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate and is an exciting role for someone looking to drive the business forward and be part of developing the bar side of the company.

The Role:

* Managing a busy high volume bar operation serving bulk draft, bottled beers, cocktails, wines and champagnes
* Full stock management - including stocktaking, cellar management
* Recruitment, training and motivating teams throughout the company's 3 restaurants
* Working with the bar teams to ensure that they are providing impeccable customer service & drinks are served quickly, efficiently and to the highest standards
* Development of a a new cocktail menu throughout the group
* Negotiations with suppliers on premium products at a competitive price

Required Experience

* Proven track record as a Bars Manager from a quality cocktail bar operation
* Driven, dynamic, enthusiastic and a self-starter
* Assertive
* Strong people manager with the ability to manage different personalities
* Efficient, organised and standards driven
* Experience of running a quality bars operation
* Strong brand standards
* Excellent stock management skills
* The ability to cope with busy high volume events
* The ability to manage and motivate a team and recruit & train staff in other restaurant
* Experience of working within a bar within a busy restaurant operation
* Great customer service skills
* The desire to work in a quality fun environment
* Looking for a challenge to get teeth stuck into
* Exceptional standards and a strong eye for detail with the confidence to advise on any changes that need to be undertaken
* Calm and controlled
* Adaptable and happy to embrace change
* The ability to get the best out of the team and delegate where necessary
* The ability to recruit, train and develop a great team - a great champion of the company's culture
* Strong customers service standards
* Able to work within company procedures for Health and Safety, compliance, licensing etc
* The ability to develop, innovate and deliver a great product mix
* Able to build strong external relationships with suppliers - looking after all ordering etc
* The ability to take the role and make it your own

The starting salary for this role is up to £24,000 depending on experience plus bonus & the chance to put your mark on the role & work for a great company with great opportunities.
