Sous Chef required for a busy hotel in Dartmouth Harbour, Devon in the South West of England. The hotel has 25 rooms, a rossetted dining room and a very busy bars menu. All menu's use fresh food and the hotel enjoys a good reputation for all of its varied food outlets. The kitchen has a team of 10 chefs and works on a mix of various shift patterns plus two days off per week.
We are looking for a Sous Chef with experience working with all fresh food, in busy hotel operations. It is essential that you have strong management skills as the role will be to manage the kitchen on Head Chefs days off and to support him in all aspects of Kitchen Management. You must also be reliable and be able to demonstrate a consistent career path.
The basic salary is to £24,000 plus tips, subsidised private accommodation options (either a 1 bed private apartment or a room in a shared property) plus pension scheme, 28 days holiday, 2 days off per week with any extra paid as overtime.
