Juice Hospitality are delighted to bring a new position with a luxury hotel located on the beautiful island of Jersey for: Demi Chef de Partie - Pastry

Demi Chef de Partie (Pastry)

Responsibilities:

To organise resources within the pastry section
* To produce food to the desired high standard with particular emphasis on presentation, hygiene and economy
* Care and maintenance of all kitchen appliances, equipment and utensils
* To keep all work areas and surfaces as clean and as tidy as is practicable at all times
* To have a strong interest in training to become a chef de partie
* To have or be working towards an intermediate hygiene certificate
* To be enthusiastic in attitude towards work
* To have very competent kitchen skills from college training
* To have a good knowledge of the general operation of a kitchen
* To assist the Head Pastry Chef in the daily running of a section
* To note difficulties and differences and point them out to the Executive Head Chef/Sous Chef/ Pastry Chef
* To be clean in work and presentation
* To be punctual and reliable
* To accept limited responsibility in the absence of the Head Pastry Chef
* To supervise and train commis chef where necessary
